Premium Service Brands Sponsors Charlottesville's Drive For STEM Event
Premium Service Brands was a top sponsor at a charity event designed to bring greater STEM (Science Technology Engineering and Math) opportunities to traditionally underserved communities. Held in Charlottesville, VA, where PSB is headquartered, “Drive Fore STEM” was founded by two local software and tech companies and raised more than their original goal.
As part of their sponsorship, Premium Service Brands staff members took to the golf course on September 21st at The Club at Glenmore in Keswick, VA. WillowTree, a digital app developer, and Innovative Software Solutions, a black-owned software company with a mission to bridge the digital divide in traditionally marginalized communities, teamed up to present the socially-distanced golf event. The goal of the charity event was to support two organizations in Charlottesville that serve kids in tech. One hundred percent of the proceeds from Drive Fore STEM will go to C4K and iDTech, which provide resources and mentorship for kids in the Charlottesville area who lack equal access to technology.
CEO of Premium Service Brands, Paul Flick, was a driving force behind the sponsorship, and on one of the teams that PSB fielded on the golf course. “Any opportunity to support our community is important to our values as a company. We especially believe in lifting our community’s children to set them up for success,” said Flick.
After a successful pivot in the PSB business model that prioritized technology, Flick understands the value of STEM in business. “We understand how crucial STEM is and will continue to be in all fields. Premium Service Brands relies heavily on new and customized technological integrations — we see that as the future of our business.” Premium Service Brands is dedicated to investing in training that lifts up kids and gives them a shot at a future in any of the STEM fields.
